Everyone is excitedly anticipating JEA Camp Savannah 2018. Our brochures should be ready shortly. In the meantime, here's a quick taste of our weekly themes for this year!
Campers, get ready to buckle your seatbelts and start your engines as we speed through an action-packed week of fun! Work in teams to create zucchini and pinewood derby cars as you take it to the tracks for the Zucchini 500 and the Pinewood Derby Race. Turning into the middle of the week, visit the Clubhouse in Statesboro for arcade fun. Don't worry - on the final lap, refuel for a delicious Shabbat celebration!
Israel is turning the BIG 7-0 and JEA Camp Savannah is ready to celebrate by stopping by some popular Israeli cities. Campers will journey to Jerusalem to test their luck at attempting to climb Masada (Rock Wall). Venture off to Tel Aviv to sample some tasty cuisines and shop in the outdoor shuk market. Spend the night at the first camp sleepover for a lights-out overnight dance party. End the week with a special Shabbat lunch loaded with some of your favorite holiday traditions and flavors!
Calling all future super heroes! This week, we'll channel your inner super hero. To begin the week, campers will create their own cape, inspired by their super hero identity. Next, campers will challenge themselves with our ninja obstacle course. For inspiration, look to the guidance of the incredible family as Camp Savannah heads to the theater for a screening of "The Incredibles 2!" Campers need a recharge? 1-2-3-4...who's going to win Color War? A JEA Camp Savannah favorite is back for another round of crazy competitions, food challenges, team building, Ruach Hasport (spirit of sportsmanship), and a Double Dare-themed obstacle challenge. Campers are invited to have fun with the Savannah Bananas as they host their 2nd annual Super Splash Day and baseball game. The week comes to a close as the Color War teams showcase their original songs, dances and cheers for the community, to determine who will win Color War 2018!
Ever wonder how many different types of slime you can make? Or if you can make slime that you can eat? Join Camp Savannah for a science-packed week, filled with zany experiments, edible slime, and the last all camp sleepover. Lastly, did someone say shaving cream fight?! End the week with the first-ever Mad Scientist Shabbat!

Cowabunga - the weather is warm and the surf is up at the JEA! Get ready for a super-soaked edition of the ever-popular Water Week! Younger campers will splash and play at the JEA's outdoor water park, while the older campers will venture to Surf Lagoon for a day of water slides, lazy rivers and fun! To close the week, enjoy the JEA Camp Savannah annual Luau-themed Shabbat celebration.
What happens when you mix animal fun with video games? You get JUMANJI! In this throwback to the 90s, campers will participate in live-action versions of some popular board games. The kindergarten-5th grade campers will enjoy a live animal show at the JEA, while the 6th-10th grade campers will explore the Jacksonville Zoo and a special LIT/CIT sleepover. The week comes to an end with a 90s Arcade Shabbat gathering.
As summer comes to a close, the fun has only just begun at JEA Camp Savannah. Like to sing? Love to dance? Or just really like music? Take a musical journey to the past, present and future! Campers will enjoy an all-camp talent show and the first JEA Camp Savannah MusicFest! Each camp group will be given a song to perform and a choreographed routine for the community, to be performed at the end of the week. What's for Shabbat lunch? Camper's choice!
