Meet the Team Leaders
DJ Horton has been the Director of the Camp & Children's program for over a decade. Thousands of children throughout Savannah know and love DJ for his leadership, guidance and love of children. Perhaps the greatest compliment to DJ is that dozens of former campers are now Team Leaders and Counselors.
Jackie Laban, our Assistant Camp & Children's Director has been working in Childrens and Camp programs for almost 15 years. A former camper, Jackie loves guiding children through all stages of life. Jackie loves "all things water" and is an accomplished water skier.
Makayla Taylor, our Team Leader, has been at the JEA for five years. You can see Makayla at After School, Days at the J, Kids Night Out, and Camp. She is bright, energetic, and always has a smile on her face. Makayla is currently pursuing her teaching degree even though she is a superior teacher already!
