Janieya Houston - Swim Team Instructor
Jay was born and raised in Savannah. She has been swimming as long as she can remember. Jay joined the swim team at 8 years old and then followed her brother's footsteps and became a lifeguard at 15. She has been lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons of all ages, young and older. She is excited to join our team and explore what the JEA has in store for her.
Theresa Uritescu - Specialty Coach
Miss Theresa is a long-time resident of Savannah who began providing swim lessons over 25 years ago. Theresa took her love of teaching and founded her own private business where she served countless families in the area for 10 years before joining the team at the Savannah JEA. Theresa is now our Swim Lesson Coordinator leading the JEA Starfish Swim School and supervises our Swim Team staff. She serves as a specialty coach to our JEA Orcas and supervises many of their swim meets as well!
