The Savannah Jewish Federation and Jewish Educational Alliance, with support and sponsorship from Levy Jewelers, will present a very special program featuring Daniel Sahalo, who was part of one of Israel's greatest absorption initiatives, Operation Moses: the saving of the Ethiopian Jewish community.

Today, Daniel is the marketing and sales manager of the Megemeria Jewelry collection. Megemeria, a project of Yvel, is a jewelry school and social business enterprise which teaches Ethiopian immigrants to Israel the art and science of jewelry design and manufacturing, along with many other skills.

Daniel will present his life story and tell the story of Operation Moses, followed by a short 15 minute film about the Megemeria School. All of Savannah is invited to attend.
