Justine Ferreri, artist

Justine Ferreri is a self-taught clay sculptress working in stoneware clay. Recently, she moved to Savannah and opened a studio in The City Market Art Center.

Justine has been making a living as a clay artist for over 30 years. Her works have evolved from being very tight to a more fluid and expressive form.

Says Justine, “I strive for more emotion and expression, not perfection. I have developed a process of glazing that starts with underglazes, then I fire oxides and clay chalks with the final firing of 14 karat gold. This I call my touch of Klimt. His works have always inspired my art.”

Many have a story or deepen meaning. All try to give you a look into the mind and heart of the artist.
