JEA Art Gallery Reception featuring the works of the JEA's own Robert Segall
Robert Segall is a native Savannahian. He has been involved in various aspects of art since a very early age; drawing, painting, etc., in many different mediums. He has been associated with a number of local art teachers including Carl Fugerousse from the Jepson and Telfair Academy, Zola Delburn, and Charlotte Segall, his niece and an honor-graduate of SCAD, who now works out of New York.
Robert’s subject matter ranges from local land and seascapes, to portraits, still-lifes and architectural renderings. Living in Savannah and growing up near the ocean has afforded him much inspiration, as well as the opportunity to observe f the ever-changing ecosystem that has become so much a part of his work.
He has been fortunate over the past 15 years to have his paintings displayed in a number of galleries and group exhibitions, as well as having had numerous solo exhibits. Also, a long tenure as a member of the Savannah Art Association has brought him into contact with many of Savannah’s finest artists, adding to the inspiration so necessary to an aspiring painter.
